Overview

The Learning & Development Business Analyst plays a crucial role in the design, development, and delivery of AI-powered learning technology solutions. Collaborating closely with the Senior Manager and various teams, you will translate business requirements into actionable documentation, conduct testing activities, and ensure successful project implementations. This tactical role emphasizes requirement gathering, documentation, testing efforts, and daily coordination with technology teams and vendors.

Key Responsibilities: Requirements & Documentation

• Translate business needs into comprehensive functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Document use cases, including user journeys, workflows, edge cases, and exception scenarios.
• Create and maintain process flow diagrams, data mappings, and solution specifications to ensure clarity and understanding.
• Gather and consolidate feedback from stakeholders to refine requirements effectively.
• Ensure requirements traceability and maintain alignment between business objectives and delivered solutions.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Develop test plans, cases, and scripts based on functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Execute functional, regression, and integration testing to ensure quality outcomes.
• Lead and facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) sessions with stakeholders and end users.
• Identify, document, and track defects until resolution; validate fixes prior to release.
• Ensure AI/ML outputs are accurate and align with intended use cases by performing thorough validations.

Solution Support & Delivery

• Assist in solution design by preparing relevant documentation, mockups, and visual aids.
• Coordinate with engineering and integration teams on build activities, clarifying requirements as needed.
• Support pilot deployments, user training, and change management initiatives.
• Collect user feedback post-launch and document enhancement requests for future improvements.
• Oversee vendor coordination on deliverables, timelines, and issue tracking.

AI & Technical Support

• Document AI use cases and translate them into technical specifications for development.
• Evaluate and test AI-driven features for usability and learner engagement.
• Validate that AI implementations meet data privacy and security standards.
• Stay updated on AI tools and learning technology trends; share insights with the team to foster innovation.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, proficient in writing functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• 3+ years of experience in Learning Technology or L&D Systems.
• 3+ years of experience developing test plans and leading UAT sessions.
• 2+ years of experience with learning platforms such as LMS (e.g., Workday Learning, Cornerstone, SABA) and LXP (e.g., Degreed, EdCast).
• 2+ years of experience working with agile development teams and tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).

Preferred Qualifications

• Exceptional documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Exposure to AI concepts and tools (e.g., generative AI platforms, large language models) and their application in learning.
• Familiarity with enterprise system integrations (APIs, xAPI/LRS, SSO).
• Background in instructional design or learning experience design.
• Experience in healthcare, retail, or pharmacy industries.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.

We anticipate this position will require 40 hours of work per week and will be offered as a full-time role.

Compensation

The typical salary range for this role is between $83,430.00 and $222,480.00 annually. Actual salary may vary based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. This role may also qualify for bonuses, commissions, or incentive programs.
