Clinical Nurse II: Critical Care Float Pool

Join our exceptional Critical Care Float Pool team today This is your chance to enhance and apply your critical care nursing skills in multiple specialized areas, including:
- Neuro-Surgical Trauma ICU
- Medical ICU
- Coronary Care Unit
- Cardiovascular ICU
- MSICU (intermediate care ICU)
As a Clinical Nurse II, you’ll enjoy the opportunity to gain additional competencies in the Emergency Department and neuro-progressive care. Work at the Region's only Level I trauma center and be part of a dynamic, highly skilled nursing team
The role includes:
- Implementing physician orders and administering medications
- Starting IVs and performing treatments, procedures, and special tests
- Documenting treatments according to company policy and local/state/federal regulations
- Ordering, interpreting, and evaluating diagnostic tests
- Assessing and evaluating patient needs and responses to care
- Applying sound nursing judgment for patient care management decisions
- Providing primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses
- Collaborating with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care
- Guiding ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree
- Current NYS Registered Nurse license
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care
- Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills
- Knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving techniques for patient care improvement
