Certified Medical Assistant

Coconut Creek, FL

We are seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in Coconut Creek, FL. As a Medical Assistant with our clinic, you will play a crucial role in assisting healthcare professionals in PEDIATRIC patient care, ensuring smooth clinic operations, and delivering excellent patient experiences.

Hourly Wage: $17.00- $20.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
  • Assist healthcare providers during examinations, treatments, and minor surgical procedures.
  • Take vital signs and record patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
  • Perform phlebotomy, administer injections, and assist with other clinical procedures as required.
  • Prepare and maintain examination and treatment rooms with necessary supplies and instruments.
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations.
  • Provide patient education regarding medications, procedures, and health maintenance.
  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a medical office or clinic setting
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic computer skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Compassionate demeanor and patient-focused attitude.
