Lead Bilingual Medical Assistant

ExecuSource has partnered with a nationally recognized Orthopedic Sports Medicine group and we are assisting them on a search for a Bilingual Medical Assistant at their office in Southaven, MS. This is a leadership role and the hiring manager is actively setting up interviews
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare treatment rooms.
- Record patients' medical history, vitals, or information such as test results in medical records.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician.
- Explain treatment procedures, medications, or physicians' instructions to patients.
- Inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
- Perform administrative/clerical work
- May operate x-ray or other equipment to administer routine diagnostic testing
- Cleans and sterilize medical equipment
- Prepare all pre-screening for procedures and surgical consults
- Operate as Lead Medical Assistant
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program required; Medical Assistant Certification or Registered Medical Assistant strongly preferred
- 3+ years of back office experience preferred
- Leadership/Managerial experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) required
- Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
- Strong knowledge and understanding of electronic medical record systems
- Knowledge of diagnostic testing equipment and sterilization equipment
- Knowledge of patient care and examination procedures
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p
