Your compensation and benefits as a Diesel Technician:

• Starting hourly wage ranging from $28-$30, based on experience
• Consistent working hours promoting financial stability
• Quarterly tool allowance of $400

Your work schedule and location:

• Monday to Friday
• 2nd Shift starts at 3 PM
• No weekend shifts
• Stable hours helping you achieve work-life balance
• Your work will take place primarily at our maintenance shop in Smyrna, GA

As a Diesel Technician at WM, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel engines and various vehicle systems
• Estimating time and resources needed for vehicle repairs and parts
• Performing work according to Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs)
• Responding to emergency repair calls
• Conducting safety checks on vehicles, prioritizing community and employee safety
• Completing necessary documentation regarding repairs and parts
• Collaborating with senior mechanics on projects
• Reviewing and addressing issues identified in Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports
• Maintaining a safe and clean workspace in accordance with Corporate / OSHA standards

Qualifications for the Diesel Technician role:

• Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Physical capability to meet job demands with or without reasonable accommodations
• Must successfully pass pre-employment drug screening and physical examination

Physical demands and work environment:

• Job requires physical effort including frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and climbing

• Exposed to potential hazards such as cuts, burns, and toxic chemicals
• Work conditions include dirt, odors, noise, and varying weather
• Work will be performed both inside a garage/shop and outdoors
