Sr. Interior Designer

National architecture and engineering firm is looking for a talented Senior Interior Designer to join their growing St. Louis studio. This position will lead the completion of client projects by planning and implementing interior design solutions.

The Role...

  • Responsible for client satisfaction and design vision
    • Develop an optimal design solution for the project that meets the client's needs and represents the company's standard quality of design. Present design solutions to the client.
    • Manage all aspects associated with projects including proposals, exhibits, contracts, project budget, and profitability.
    • Maintain constant professional communications with client, project team, and consultants.
    • Develop a schedule of integrated tasks required to accomplish individual projects. Monitor progress toward the deliverable schedule.
  • Design standards, visualization, local codes and guidelines are met for quality documents. Standard agreements knowledge and management
    • Responsible for creating, planning, and managing large scale interior design projects.
    • Document projects via construction documents and specifications effectively, and in accordance with established design standards as well as those set by official governing agencies.
  • Project goals and/or project success
    • Overall project profitability
  • Mentor designers and minimize rework
    • Have a role in managing and input in performance reviews of junior interior design staff.
    • Mentoring and/or sharing interior design knowledge with others in the firm.
  • Continue to develop design skills and pursue opportunities for continued education on topics related to the field of Interior Design.
  • Design community involvement/participation at local level.
  • Promote company's reputation through good client relations.
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
What we are looking for...
  • Bachelors Degree in Interior Design
  • 8+ years of professional interior design experience (healthcare science & technology, and/or higher education experience preferred)
  • Proficient with Revit
  • Strong designer and conceptual design thinker
  • Mid to large size project experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • NCIDQ Certification preferred
  • Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven leadership skills
  • High accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strategic thinker
  • Ownership mentality
