RETS Associates is seeking a Pre-MBA Associate with 3-6 years years' of experience in commercial real estate or investment banking to join our client's investment team. About the Company
We are representing a well- capitalized, privately held real estate investment manager led by industry veterans with 30+ years of experience. The firm invests across the equity capital stack through a discretionary fund series, providing creative capital solutions to operating partners.
Focused on middle-market transactions ($30-$150M) and value-add strategies, the company targets retail, multifamily, and industrial assets in major Sunbelt and Western U.S. markets. The team is pursuing $1B+ in active opportunities within a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment.
Role Overview:
The Associate will work closely with senior leadership across the full investment lifecycle. Key responsibilities:
- Build financial models and underwrite investments
- Manage due diligence and closings
- Prepare IC materials and investor updates
- Monitor portfolio performance and business plans
- Research market, demographic, and economic trends
What We're Looking For (Read Before Applying):
Must-Haves
- 3-6 years in CRE investment or investment banking with real estate deal exposure
- Strong financial modeling (Excel; Argus a plus)
- Bachelor's from a top institution
- Detail-oriented, organized, and clear communicator
- Able to work independently in a lean, fast-paced environment
- Genuine interest in real estate investing and entrepreneurship
