Location: Aurora St Luke's Medical Center - 2900 W Oklahoma Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53215

Compensation: Pay Range: $26.10 - $39.15

Schedule: Full-time, evening shift, 8 or 10 hour shifts with on-call responsibilities including occasional weekends.

$10,000 Sign-On Bonus and $2,000 Sign-On Bonus for PM Shifts

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a clean, safe, and efficient environment for surgery, utilizing aseptic techniques during preparation.
  • Assist the surgical team by preparing materials, supplies, and equipment, and maintaining a sterile field.
  • Function effectively as a Second Assistant and support the surgeon’s needs during procedures.
  • Manage operating room conditions by setting up and disinfecting the area, ensuring all equipment is functional.
  • Transport patients and equipment, demonstrating proper lifting techniques.
  • Maintain specialty carts to ensure availability and sterility of surgical instruments.
  • Exhibit knowledge of age-specific care requirements and the principles of growth and development.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 6 months of hire.
  • No prior experience is necessary; we welcome new graduates

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull with 30 lbs of force.
  • Must withstand a fast-paced and stressful environment.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching during shifts.
