Located in St. Louis, MO, we're seeking a dedicated PRN Echo Sonographer to become part of our exceptional healthcare team. In this role, you will perform diagnostic procedures that assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout the process.

Position Highlights:

  • Department: Echo Sonography
  • Schedule: PRN as needed
  • Pay Rate: Starting at $35/hour, with daily pay available
  • Shift Differentials: Additional compensation for night, weekend, and extra shifts.
  • Location: SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital, St. Louis, MO

What You’ll Do:

  • Execute diagnostic procedures, accurately record patient results, and report findings.
  • Monitor patient comfort and alert physicians of any abnormalities during tests.
  • Ensure equipment is functioning properly and maintain adequate supplies.
  • Position patients effectively and select technical parameters as needed.
  • Adhere to all regulatory agency standards.
  • Manage high-quality imaging submissions to PACS and maintain a clean work environment.
  • Stay alert and work safely at all times.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Completed an Echo Sonography program.
  • Although no prior experience is required, your willingness to learn and grow is essential

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing and walking continuously throughout shifts.
  • Frequent lifting of patients and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Utilization of vision for close and distant tasks.
  • Good communication skills for effective interaction with patients and colleagues.

Certifications Required:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Must hold one of the following certifications:
    • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) - CCI
    • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) - ARDMS (Adult and/or Pediatric specialty)
    • Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) - CCI
