About the Team

Our Infrastructure team is responsible for the cloud infrastructure that supports many of Semgrep's internal and external applications, including our flagship products, Semgrep Code and Semgrep Supply Chain. Our mission is to empower Semgrep'ers to confidently build, run, and manage their systems by providing a well-integrated platform for transitioning from code to cloud. This includes CI/CD systems, Kubernetes on AWS cloud environments, and effective tools for managing software in production.

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate Senior Infrastructure Engineer who is dedicated to building scalable, secure, performant, and reliable infrastructure and data platforms.

You will have the opportunity to:

• Collaborate with the team to manage, maintain, develop, and enhance our cloud infrastructure.
• Lead significant initiatives end-to-end from architecture through implementation and maintenance.
• Influence technical and product direction, working with the team to define the future of our internal platform, including what features to build and how to execute.
• Gain insights from internal users to understand their needs and design solutions that address their main challenges.
• Create simple, maintainable, and extensible software systems, platforms, and internal tools.
• Ensure continuous high-availability of services utilizing modern site-reliability practices, including participating in an on-call rotation.
• Mentor and guide other engineers through constructive code reviews, pair programming, planning sessions, technical documentation, and formal mentorship.

You are an ideal candidate for this role if you:

• Have 4+ years of experience in developing and operating production software.
• Possess expertise in managing Kubernetes clusters and AWS infrastructure.
• Are familiar with infrastructure tools, patterns, and methodologies.
• Have a strong passion for building reliable and secure infrastructure.
• Work iteratively, learning from failures, managing risks, and effectively responding to incidents.
• Have experience leading complex initiatives and collaborating across teams to enhance organizational capabilities.
• Are a thoughtful mentor and committed lifelong learner.

Compensation

Salary: $160,000-$207,000

Your total compensation package includes equity and comprehensive benefits beyond salary.

Please note that the salary range specified is for candidates based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
