Stationary Equipment Technician

The Stationary Equipment Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation, repair, maintenance, and installation of a variety of machines and equipment. This position involves diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues and implementing effective solutions. Additionally, the Technician is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service by addressing and resolving inquiries and concerns related to equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections, maintenance, and changes of gas cylinders in the cylinder room.
  • Repair various plumbing devices including valves, traps, separators, strainers, and fixtures.
  • Perform cutting, threading of pipes, and various plumbing connections like flared, compression, and PVC.
  • Execute general carpentry and construction tasks as assigned.
  • Carry out minor electrical work as needed.
  • Maintain dishwashers, steam kettles, and assorted gas appliances.
  • Manage essential inventory to ensure smooth operations, including tracking tools used.
  • Complete scheduled preventative maintenance and maintain accurate records.
  • Exhibit a friendly and proactive customer service attitude towards clients, co-workers, and customers.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a diploma/certification in a related field or have two (2) years of relevant experience.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • A high school degree or G.E.D. is required.
  • Familiarity with multi-meters, ammeters, and soldering/brazing techniques.
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

This role may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking or standing. Appropriate uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
