Salary range for this role is $50,000 - $56,000 per year depending on relevant education, experience, and licensure.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of a Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
• Valid Ohio Clinical License in Social Work or Counseling (LSW or LPC) is required.
• Knowledge of mental health assessment, treatment planning, child psychotherapy, group therapy, and DSM-IV diagnoses.
• Prior experience in providing mental health services to children in group settings with complex needs is essential.

Our focus is on addressing a wide range of behavioral, emotional, and learning challenges, offering a continuum of care from outpatient counseling to residential treatment.

Position Summary:

We seek a qualified Licensed Residential Therapist to deliver direct clinical services to individuals, families, and groups. Your role will encompass individual therapy, family interventions, group therapy, as well as mental health consultation, education, and prevention services. You will provide these essential services in alignment with the mission and service plan of Applewood Centers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments during initial interviews and ongoing treatment sessions.
• Create focused, measurable, and achievable service plans that address the individual needs of clients in collaboration with them and their families.
• Monitor progress toward treatment goals using agency-required metrics.
• Deliver individual therapy, parent guidance, and family interventions.
• Meet productivity expectations set by the residential program.
• Facilitate group psychotherapy sessions and day treatment programming based on the needs of clients and the program.
• Work collaboratively with other disciplines and services to meet client needs.
• Utilize cultural assessments to develop service plans that reflect the unique values, beliefs, and attributes of clients.
• Adjust your schedule flexibly to accommodate client and agency requirements.
• Provide on-call coverage for licensed practitioner-physical restraint in residential services.
• Engage in training and collaborative learning to enhance skills in evidence-based practice models.
• Offer diagnostic and treatment planning feedback to residential case managers, supervisors, staff, and program managers.
• Adapt clinical practices based on supervisory feedback and direction.
• Collaborate on program changes with agency staff and administration.
• Take part in program and performance improvement initiatives as required.
• Provide clinical supervision to assigned staff and/or interns according to professional licensing regulations.
• Develop and lead group behavior health counseling and/or partial hospitalization programming tailored to client and program needs.
• Provide consultation and training to residential services staff.
