Major Responsibilities:

  • Ensure a clean, safe, and efficient surgical area by utilizing aseptic techniques.
  • Prepare materials, supplies, and equipment for various procedures while anticipating the Surgeon's needs.
  • Set up the operating room, including proper placement of equipment and instruments.
  • Function as a Second Assistant when required and assist with patient transport.
  • Maintain specialty carts, ensuring all items are ready and in proper working order.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 6 months.
  • No prior experience needed, just your enthusiasm and commitment to teamwork.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift and carry various weights and withstand a fast-paced environment.
  • Must operate essential equipment and maintain functional sight and hearing.
