Position Overview

The Bellefonte Area School District is seeking a Substitute Nurse to provide essential health services and support to students and staff across district schools. This role is vital to ensuring a safe, responsive, and health-conscious learning environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate sound clinical judgment, adaptability across school settings, and a commitment to student wellness and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities

The Substitute Nurse will:

• Provide medical care services to students as assigned
• Administer medications as directed
• Maintain health and medication records and reports, including a summary of services provided
• Effectively communicate with students and district personnel
• Manage and provide health room services according to established procedures

Education Requirements

Minimum: High school diploma or GED

Experience Requirements

• Previous experience in a nursing role

Certifications & Licenses

Required:

• Nursing Certificate
• Current Pennsylvania license as a Registered Nurse or Practical Nurse
