About The Position
Job Title: Night Shift Pharmacist Profession: Pharmacy Specialty: Pharmacist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7/70 position Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Registered Pharmacist License (Wisconsin) Certifications: None specified Must-Have: Graduate of an accredited Pharmacy Program Description: We are looking for a Night Shift Pharmacist contract. The schedule will be a 7/70 position with 10-hour shifts. The schedule will be as follows: Week one will consist of 7 shifts starting Wednesday through the following Tuesday, working 10-hour shifts. The second week will be completely off. In the third week, there will be 70 hours of 10-hour shifts. This position performs all functions of pharmaceutical care, including medication and IV orders. The pharmacist will evaluate for appropriate drug, dose, allergies, interactions, and incompatibilities. They will monitor levels of therapeutic drugs. Additionally, the pharmacist will perform and supervise computer data entry related to patient profiles. Monitoring all medication dispensing for accuracy is essential. The pharmacist will supervise the filling of all prescriptions and provide appropriate patient counseling. They will collect and analyze data for process improvement projects. Performing in-service training for community and support groups is also required. Other duties may be assigned as necessary. The pharmacist may be required to work alternate shifts. Maintaining professionalism and conducting oneself as a role model is crucial. The pharmacist will serve as a resource for all partners. An expert staff pharmacist, they rely on their skills of comprehensive knowledge and experience. Maintaining practice through ongoing professional literature review, continuing education, and self-evaluation is expected.
