WE Transport is actively hiring for positions in Suffolk County. A CDL license is beneficial, but don't worry if you don’t have one; we offer PAID CDL training to help you start your journey

What We Offer:

  • Guaranteed Hours: Reliable 25-30 hours per week.
  • PAID CDL Permit Training: Begin your path to becoming a licensed driver.
  • Sign-on Bonus: $5000 for fully licensed NY CDL drivers with A, B, or C licenses with P & S endorsements.
  • Starting Pay Rate for Van Drivers: $24.37 (CDL A, B or C with P and S Endorsement required).

Job Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a school bus or van to transport students to and from school.
  • Monitor road conditions, traffic, and student behavior to maintain a safe environment.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and district guidelines.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues.
  • Assist students during boarding and exiting the vehicle as needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age with a minimum of one year of driving experience.
  • Possess a valid NYS CDL Class A or B with P & S endorsements for school buses, or Class C with P & S endorsements for vans (or willingness to obtain through our free training).
  • Non-CDL drivers must hold a valid driver's license and complete CDL permit training.
