Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring for Network Engineer (Datacenter Operations) Level III to support our NIH/CIT proposal. This position will be located in Bethesda, MD and is a remote/hybrid position.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for delivering optimal availability and quality regarding the network routing and switching, IP security, the wide area network services

  • Participate in daily stand ups and utilize the kanban methodology to triage and resolve incidents and problems within established SLAs

  • As directed by senior engineers, participate in shift lead duties to serve as "queue managers" to ensure each escalated issue is efficiently assigned, actively being worked by expediting resolution and fulfillment to meet SLAs

  • Assist with proactive measures such as network monitoring, analysis, maintenance/patching, and documentation

  • Provide suggestions to management on continuous improvements in regards to communications, customer understanding, tools, technology, and equipment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's with 8+ years (or commensurate experience)

Required Skills and Experience

  • 8 years of relevant Network Services experience.

  • Experiencedelivering optimal availability and quality regarding the network routing and switching, IP security, the wide area network services

Clearance Required: Must be able to obtain and maintain NIH/CIT Public Trust

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • CCNA/CCNP is desired.

  • Experience with security is desired

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $95,000.00 - USD $99,403.00 /Yr.
