*CNC Multi-Axis Lathe Production Operator * *Hearing Protection LLC (Griffin Armament - Watertown)* Hearing Protection LLC, operating as *Griffin Armament *in Watertown WI, is seeking *highly skilled CNC Lathe Production Operators* to join our growing team. We specialize in precision machining and advanced manufacturing, operating at a performance level that ranks in the *85th percentile or higher within the industry*. *Position Overview* We are looking for experienced CNC production operators with a minimum of *3 years of hands-on experience* in multi-axis, sub-spindle, single, and twin turret turning machines. The ideal candidate will be capable of efficiently operating up to *four bar-fed, tool-life and tool-load monitored CNC turning machines* simultaneously, all while maintaining high productivity and exceptional quality standards. *Key Responsibilities* * Operate and monitor CNC turning machines in a high-precision production environment. * Maintain production at an *85% or better efficiency* while holding tight part tolerances to achieve high quality. * Accurately measure components using hand gauges and other precision tools. * Apply and adjust tool offsets as needed to maintain dimensional accuracy and minimize scrap (%).* Utilize company protocols for safe and efficient operation of all machinery. * Perform part inspections, manage tooling changes, and assist with work holding and fixturing. * Communicate effectively with team members to ensure workflow efficiency and consistent product quality. * Uphold a clean and organized work environment. *Training and Support* New operators will undergo a structured vetting and onboarding process supported by our team of highly skilled industry professionals. Comprehensive operation manuals and hands-on instruction (including bar loader operation) will be provided to ensure a smooth transition into our production environment. Once fully vetted, operators will possess proficiency in: * Tool life management and tool load monitoring. * Use of automatic tool setters for optimal quality and productivity. * Efficient multitasking across multiple machines with minimal downtime. All machines are *less than 5 years old*, equipped with *current-generation technology*, and maintained to deliver the highest standards of performance and precision. *Qualifications* * Minimum of *3 years CNC lathe operating experience* (multi-axis preferred). * Strong dexterity and hand-eye coordination; ability to handle small components and fasteners with precision. * Solid understanding of tooling, setup procedures, and part inspection. * Ability to identify and resolve tolerance and quality issues independently. * Demonstrated self-motivation, strong work ethic, and attention to detail. * Ability to lift up to *50 pounds periodically*. * Willingness to learn, adapt, and maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude. * Must be able to pass a *background check* as required by federal industry regulations. *Additional Details* * Training will occur on *day shift*; shift differential applies to non-training hours. * Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced, professional, and self-managed environment. * Respect for colleagues, supervisors, and company standards is essential to success in this role.
