Position Title: Network Systems Admin & Cyber Security Specialist II
We are seeking a skilled and forward-thinking Network Systems Admin & Cyber Security Specialist II to support system and tool development efforts at Wright-Patterson AFB. In this role, you'll contribute to the evolution of both new and existing technologies, working on projects where technical challenges require deep analysis, collaboration, and creativity.
You'll apply your expertise in engineering principles and programming techniques to support architectural decisions, requirement allocations, and system specifications-while also gaining the opportunity to lead technical contributions on focused project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the design, specification, and enhancement of systems and tools for defense-focused programs.
- Apply advanced knowledge of engineering and computer programming to define and address technical objectives.
- Recommend system architectures, allocate requirements, and prepare technical specifications.
- Prepare and present documentation, including reports, proposals, and briefings.
- Work under limited supervision while contributing independently to project goals.
- May provide technical direction to one or more professionals on a specific project or task.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience, preferably supporting defense, intelligence, or complex technical systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to work in fast-paced, mission-driven environments.
- Proficient in relevant engineering tools, software, and best practices.
- Effective communication and technical writing skills.
- Active TS/SCI clearance required.
- Must be able to develop algorithms and recommend enhancements to existing algorithms.
- Ability to develop advanced HF Processing, Exploitation and Dissemination (PED) techniques to characterize targets; and
- develop algorithms that utilize Known Reference Points (KRPs) to improve geolocation accuracy.
