DevOps/Cloud Engineer

Our client is seeking a Senior DevOps/Cloud Engineer to join their team This position is located in Denver, Colorado.
Duties:
- Design, develop, and maintain infrastructure as code solutions, with a strong preference for Terraform
- Administer and manage AWS or other enterprise cloud provider infrastructure accounts
- Build, monitor, and troubleshoot complex issues within the EMR framework
- Work extensively with big data technologies such as Hive and Spark
- Implement strategies to optimize spot fleet utilization and reduce cloud costs
- Apply and enforce least privilege control models across cloud resources
- Design and implement Lambda functions and Kinesis Firehose data streams
- Utilize ticketing systems like JIRA for issue tracking and management
- Leverage GitLab for CI/CD pipeline development and merge request processes
- Advanced proficiency in Python or Java
- Advanced experience with Infrastructure as Code with a strong preference for Terraform
- Proven experience as an administrator for AWS or other enterprise cloud provider infrastructure accounts
- Strong understanding of customer service principles and the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to build and review complex issues within the EMR framework
- Solid experience with Hive and Spark
- Experience in Lambda design and implementation
- Proficiency in using GitLab for CI/CD and merge request workflows
