Job Summary
The Pharmacy Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing non-clinical pharmacy operations, ensuring efficient workflow and a positive patient experience. This role operates under the supervision of a pharmacist while serving as a certified pharmacy technician.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Supervise pharmacy technicians and cashiers, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal service delivery.
- Engage with customers and patients, addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and enhancing the pharmacy experience.
- Assist in patient care activities including medication preparation and health service offerings, under pharmacist supervision.
- Organize pharmacy workflow, manage scheduling, and ensure inventory is maintained and equipment is operational.
- Lead training and development for pharmacy technicians and monitor performance management processes.
- Build and sustain relationships with community partners and coordinate outreach efforts.
- Communicate effectively within the pharmacy team and participate in regular meetings to ensure alignment on objectives.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; PTCB certification preferred.
- A minimum of one year of experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to foster relationships with customers and team members.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
