Are you an experienced caregiver looking to make a difference on weekends? 5 Star Cares is seeking compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), Home Health Aides (HHAs) and Personal Care Aides (PCAs) to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a structured group home environment.

This is the perfect opportunity for healthcare professionals with a background in acute care, skilled nursing, or rehab to bring their expertise to a lower-stress, purpose-driven setting.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist residents with personal care tasks (feeding, bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility)
  • Monitor and document changes in condition or behavior
  • Foster a safe, clean, and respectful living environment
  • Promote independence and dignity in daily routines
  • Use basic medical and mobility equipment such as wheelchairs and shower chairs
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in acute care, long-term care, or rehab
• Valid BLS, CPR, and First Aid Certification (AHA or Red Cross)
• Level 2 Background Screening (or eligible to pass)
• Experience with intellectual disabilities or mental illness is preferred
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs safely and support physical assistance as needed
• Comfortable rotating between Tampa and Lutz homes (approx. 15 minutes apart)
• Dependable, professional, and compassionate
