- Setting: Hospital-based, Pediatric Inpatient
- Employment Type: Locum Tenens (Travel Contract)
- Duration: 1 week (12/21/2025 6am - 12/28/2025 6am)
- Shift: 24-hour call (not required to be in-house)
- Estimated Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $4840-$5190
- Patient Census: Well babies 1-5 (up to 6-7), NICU 0-5 (usually 1-3), Peds 0-1 (usually zero)
- Incentives: $500 additional per day for all shifts except 12/25; $750 additional for 12/25
- Active California medical license (required for California pediatric jobs)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics (within 3-5 years of residency)
- Minimum 2 years of recent hospital clinical experience in pediatric specialty
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- Clean file required for privileging
- Ability to provide case logs if applicable
- Explanation required for clinical gaps over 3 months
- Deliver inpatient pediatric care for well babies, NICU, and pediatric patients
- Perform neonatal airway management, including intubation
- Manage neonatal air leak/pneumothorax, including needle decompression
- Perform emergent UVC placement in the delivery room
- UVC/UAC placement for neonates
- Conduct lumbar puncture and EKG interpretation
- Preferred skills: ventilator management, chest tube insertion (neonates), X-ray interpretation, suturing minor lacerations
- Collaborate with ED physicians and anesthesia for advanced procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in hospital rounds
