Electrical Engineer

Location: Marietta, GA
Salary: $90,000 - $165,000 (DOE, PE licensure)
What you'll be doing:
- Lead the design and implementation of protection and control systems for utility substations.
- Develop one-line and three-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, wiring diagrams, and relay settings.
- Support renewable energy and storage projects, including battery systems and solar collection sites.
- Provide technical guidance and quality review for engineering deliverables.
- Mentor junior engineers/EITs and serve as a technical sign-off resource once licensed.
- Manage budgets, schedules, and scopes of work for assigned projects.
- Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure successful project delivery.
- Conduct site visits to resolve design or construction challenges.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- 5-10+ years of experience in substation or power system engineering.
- Strong knowledge of protection and control design concepts.
- Familiarity with substation equipment layouts and system integration.
- Experience with SCADA or communication system design preferred.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain within one year (licensure support provided).
- Demonstrated ability to oversee projects and mentor engineering staff.
- Competitive pay range: $90K-$165K depending on experience and licensure status
