DevOps Engineer

Contract

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team in either Berkeley Heights, NJ. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure and automated deployment pipelines. This role requires strong hands-on experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code, Kafka for event streaming platforms, and practical knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Responsibilities:
• Build, automate, and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform
• Configure, deploy, and maintain Kafka clusters and related streaming components
• Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient and reliable software releases
• Manage containerized workloads using Docker and/or Kubernetes
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure high availability
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to improve deployment processes
• Ensure security, scalability, and resilience across all environments
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues in production and non-production environments

Qualifications:
• 3+ years of DevOps or cloud engineering experience
• Strong expertise in Terraform and Kafka
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
• Experience with Linux, scripting (Python, Bash), and containerization
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
