The Palm Springs Unified School District has sixteen elementary schools, five middle schools, four comprehensive high schools, one continuation high school, alternative education programs, one independent study program, and several headstart/state preschools. SUMMARY:
The School/Community Liaison Bilingual for the English Learner Program assists English learner students in becoming fluent in English. The School/Community Liaison Bilingual for the English Learner Program disseminates information to students, staff and to the community regarding English learner programs and opportunities; communicates with families regarding attendance, behavioral, and/or academic irregularities; and acts as an advocate for students and parents regarding English learner placement and reclassification.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from high school and one (1) year of responsible experience in community relations, social service, inter-group or intercultural activities, or similar program work.
