POTTER ASSOCIATES LLC has partnered with UT Health East Texas to find exceptional Physical Therapists for both acute inpatient and outpatient clinic opportunities. We are currently seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist for the UT Health East Rehabilitation Center.
About the Organization: UT Health East Rehabilitation Center is a specialty hospital with 48 inpatient beds located in Tyler, TX. It encompasses 14 outpatient therapy clinics, 11 cardiopulmonary rehabilitation clinics, and nine Olympic fitness centers in the surrounding area. Our Rehabilitation Center is dedicated to providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient therapy for conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord issues, and limb loss. We employ a multidisciplinary team of doctors and therapists to create individualized plans aimed at helping patients regain independence, all while ensuring continuous nursing care in a structured environment.
Position Overview: As an Outpatient Physical Therapist, you will deliver a complete range of age-appropriate physical therapy services within a clinic setting. This includes:
- Conducting assessments
- Developing treatment plans
- Implementing therapeutic interventions aligned with professional standards
The position reports directly to the Administrative Director - Outpatient.
Desired Qualifications:
- Alignment with the Mission and Values of UT Health East Texas
- Current professional licensure in the State of Texas (DPT preferred)
- Generalist PT with a minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient clinic setting (3+ years preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Effective active listening skills
- Good problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in patient record documentation
- Excellent time management skills
- A strategic thinker who can act tactically
- Able to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Commitment to building strong client relationships
- A team player with a sense of humor
