Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist, you will perform MRI scans and take radiographs following standards set by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, facilitating diagnosis and treatment. Your role includes conducting MRI procedures to display cross-sectional anatomical images for licensed practitioners to interpret. You will provide excellent patient care and be attentive to patient conditions necessary for successful procedures.

• You will prepare patients for procedures with clear instructions to achieve desired outcomes while minimizing anxiety.
• You will complete required documentation in forms, logs, and Meditech.
• You will administer contrast agents following proper techniques.
• You will produce high-quality diagnostic scans.
• You will label and identify images according to established protocols.
• You will communicate relevant information to interpreting radiologists in an efficient manner.

Work Schedule: Friday-Monday, 0830-1900

Qualifications Required:

• Minimum one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist in an acute care setting.
• Preferred one year of experience performing MRI procedures in an acute care setting.
• Graduation from an American Medical Association accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Completion of coursework in Magnetic Resonance Imaging and cross-sectional anatomy.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as per St. David's Healthcare policy.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT (MR)).
