Join our dynamic team in a pivotal role as a UAS/CUAS Integration Engineer Subject Matter Expert, where you will support the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) and Special Operations Forces (SOF) in various locations including Fort Belvoir, VA; Fort Bragg, NC; Lexington, KY; Fort Eustis, VA; and Natick, MA.

*This position is contingent upon a contract award*

Essential Duties:

  • Collaborate closely with government counterparts, academic labs, and the private sector as a UAS/CUAS SME to foster the development of innovative tools and technologies supporting the SOF UAS/CUAS.
  • Contribute to the creation and enhancement of critical documentation, including Initial Capabilities Documents (ICD), Capabilities Development Documents (CDD), SPECAT messages, Basis of Issue Plans (BOIP), Test Plans, and updates to Project Folders.
  • Engage in analyzing operational requirements for UAS payloads, translating them into relevant technical specifications, and driving the design, prototyping, building, and deployment of UAS/CUAS solutions under tight deadlines.

Required Qualifications:

  • Extensive technical and engineering experience with a strong background in unmanned systems operations, particularly related to non-standard and SOF assets.
  • 12+ years of progressive, relevant experience in the field.
  • Exceptional communication, technical writing, and presentation abilities.
  • Familiarity with the Department of Defense acquisition lifecycle and rapid prototyping methodologies.
  • Prior experience in supporting USSOCOM, SOF AT&L, or other SOF components is preferred.
  • A solid foundation in project management, engineering science, CAD programming, RF theory, basic circuit design, additive manufacturing, and CNC machining, along with an understanding of UAS/CUAS tactics, techniques, and procedures within the SOF community.

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field.

Required Clearance: TS/SCI.
