Role: Full-stack Developer

Duration: contract to hire

Hybrid onsite in Andover, MA

Need Some One who can be able to Obtain Secret Clearance & Worked with Govt or Federal client previously.

Day to Day Responsibilities/typical day look like:
• Supporting 15 missile systems - support a tool that is a wrapper for optimizing the logistics on repair, tracking on the fleet, repair cycle, factory floor internally, engineering changes, configuration of assets, warranty, etc. - sustainment management called (LOWKEY - logistics operation knowledge interface)
• Started design in 2005 (Called Wisdom) and then pivoted from external to internal facing tool and using it for about 20 years now - lots of modules and from architecture standpoint made a few overhauls over the years but typical MVC web front-end with business logic (EJBs) and then back-end ORM (EJB 3.0) for mapping and then JPA over an Oracle DB
• Over last 2 years started looking at taking a smaller module and moving away from MVC to a loosely coupled microservices architecture with more back-end exposure and APIs (moving away from java server faces and into React) - used toolkit called PrimeFaces (JSF) and now they are using Prime React which is built on top so moving to React focused and want to grow that side that and also have some NodeJS
• Need someone who can do back-end java and front-end (mostly doing newer stuff but need to be able to read old code and logic - lots of coupled logic in JSF to figure out and make isolations, move back-end to to API layer, etc. within the team
• A lot of back-end is already set up as a remote call (use the ORM) and transform into Spring-Boot for API use
• DoD compliance - get probes every 90 days for vulnerabilities so need to make sure everything is done correctly with libraries used, etc. (recently had an issue with prime react library failing - had to have them write some custom code from prime react itself to fix it so they could continue using)
• No database work required for this role (DB team to do stored procedures etc. so they won't have to do that - can just use and pull what is existing)
• Likely more front-end work (exposing APIs) but need to be able to do back-end work with JAVA as well but React is where they need more expertise

Top/Must-have Skills:
• JAVA
• React
• US Citizenship

Nice to haves/Preferred Skills:
• DoD background
• Security clearance (can hold if they have and may need in future but likely not immediately)

Level of experience target (junior/mid/senior and/or years of experience): Mid-level (5-10 years)
• Preference is someone who is closer to 10 years of experience but some flex

Technical Environment: JAVA, React, APIs, Oracle, etc.

Education/Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar. No certification requirements - doesn't care about those.

Team Details: 4 other JAVA programmers, 1 other home-grown React Dev - everyone on team does some full-stack development
