IT Business Analyst

In this role, the individual will capture business requirements through system modeling, prototyping, and documentation while producing wireframes, process diagrams, and analytical models to support design and analysis. They will perform project-related and ad-hoc analysis, act as a liaison between Value Stream teams and business units to facilitate process analysis, documentation, and user story development, and assist with project prioritization, scoping, and process improvements. The position involves active participation in all Scrum ceremonies, including planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint reviews, as well as collaborating with business units to understand needs, strategies, and products.

The IT Business Analyst ensures smooth delivery of new products, services, and processes within the value stream. As part of the Value Stream Ready Team, they centralize the gathering and documentation of business and IT requirements, support planning and process analysis, and work with business units to capture project needs. They also plan, create, and deploy IT solutions while clarifying requirements, researching business and IT questions, and outlining processes for the team.

This role is a 6 month contract to hire. The expectation is that this individual will convert full time, pending performance. Annual salary expectations are from 90,000-100,000. Please note that pay will be negotiated and numbers can fluctuate depending on experience.

Required Skills & Experience
• 2+ years' experience as a business analyst working with IT teams utilizing SCRUM or KANBAN agile methodologies.
• Experience with Development team backlogs using systems like Jira Software and wire framing tools like Balsamiq
• 2+ years' experience with financial business processes.
• 2+ years' experience working with IT project delivery, or as a part of business system user acceptance testing.
• Experience with project analysis, requirements gathering, prototyping, development, implementation and support.
• Capable of contributing ideas to influence decision making, and handling multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Visio, Outlook, Word.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Certified Scrum Product Owner or Business Analyst certification.
• Experience with Symitar software
