Opportunity:

Ultrasound Tech - Ultrasound Tech

Job Details:

• Provide quality imaging of patients to aid in diagnosis and continuum of care
• Assist Radiologist with exams across multiple departments including surgery, emergency department, and patient floors
• Call required: 1 day per week, Friday and weekend coverage every 3rd week
• Perform approximately 40 visits per day with average daily census of 350 patients
• Work in 3-room, 3-bed ultrasound department
• Care for patients of all age groups: infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Perform specialized procedures including ultrasound guided breast biopsy, thyroid biopsy, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
• Use Siemens ultrasound equipment with appropriate transducers for various patient populations
• Work with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
• Required certifications: ARDMS or ARRT registration and current CPR/BLS
• Minimum 1 year related experience as a Sonographer required
• Graduate of Ultrasound/Sonography program required
• Experience with emergency department, high risk OB, ICU, obstetrics, and vascular studies preferred
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Travel experience highly preferred
• 3 hours of orientation provided
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, twist, and lift up to 100 pounds
• Position requires keen sense of hearing and visual acuity
• Must handle critical and stressful situations with efficiency and composure
