Equipment Maintenance Specialist

Join our team as a FULL-TIME Equipment Maintenance Specialist at PepsiCo, with a competitive pay of $38.15/hr This role is vital for the repair and installation of advanced production and manufacturing equipment. As part of our commitment to excellence, you will inspect equipment for proper functioning and perform preventative maintenance duties in alignment with manufacturers' specifications.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing preventative maintenance on sophisticated production equipment
  • Conducting repairs on advanced machinery as necessary
  • Performing breakdown analyses and overseeing general housekeeping
  • Upgrading production lines with new or enhanced equipment and technology
  • Directing activities of outside contractors on assigned lines
  • Changing lines for package changeovers
  • Enforcing GMP, safety, and audit standards
  • Working independently under limited supervision, demonstrating self-management skills
  • Documenting work schedules and tasks completed

This position involves working in environments with heat, noise, gas, and chemicals. It requires frequent lifting, climbing, standing, walking, crouching, squatting, bending, and kneeling, as well as the possibility of weekend and/or holiday shifts.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to pass a drug screen (including cannabis)
  • Successful completion of a background check
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Passing a technical assessment focused on job-critical maintenance knowledge areas
  • Experience with basic electrical systems (starters, fuses, contacts, relays)
  • Proficiency in electrical systems such as installation, frequency drive, and troubleshooting
  • Ability to read and apply knowledge from product manuals for repairs
  • Experience with schematics, including understanding electrical blueprints
  • Strong skills in troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns
  • Experience in reading mechanical drawings (hydraulics, pneumatics)
