Schedule:

First shift, full-time hours. Specific work hours will be established in consultation with your supervisor.

Hourly Wage:

$ 20.00 /hr. to start - $ 21.00 /hr. after 90 days

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). In this unique role, the CMA will provide both direct participant care and critical coordination to ensure the smooth, compassionate, and efficient operation of the PACE clinic. The CMA will support providers and interdisciplinary team members while fostering a welcoming, participant-centered environment.

Responsibilities
  • Welcome and prepare participants for visits by taking vital signs, recording medical histories, medications, and conducting screenings as needed.
  • Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments; administer medications and immunizations according to guidelines.
  • Perform lab tests, collect and prepare specimens, and help maintain clinical equipment and supplies.
  • Coordinate participant flow in the clinic including scheduling, pre-visit planning, rooming participants, and maintaining accurate EHR documentation.
  • Support participant education by providing clear information on medications, treatments, diet, and follow-up care.
  • Act as a key connector between participants, providers, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless communication and follow-through.
  • Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, confidentiality standards, and PACE program regulations.
  • Participate in morning huddles, quality improvement activities, and interdisciplinary care discussions to improve participant outcomes and clinic efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required.
  • Experience working with older adults, in long-term care, primary care, or a PACE program strongly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills; ability to coordinate multiple priorities in a team-based environment.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems and strong record-keeping skills.
  • Commitment to participant dignity, safety, and holistic, patient-centered care.
Requirements:
  • Requires valid State driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Successful completion of background check, physical, drug screening, TB Screening
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of 25 pounds
  • Must be able to assist with the evacuation of Participants
  • This position may encounter issues/infestations in the homes of the Participants. Following proper protocols is essential.
