Med Surg Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Location

Colorado

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum guarantee of 24 hours.

Job Description

The Med Surg Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in a medical-surgical setting. The RN will utilize clinical skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care strategies while ensuring effective communication with patients and team members.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and report changes to the healthcare team.
  • Assist with post-operative recovery and couplet care for mother and baby.
  • Provide emotional and educational support to patients and families.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Minimum of 24 months of current Med Surg experience is required.
  • Active certification in ACLS and BLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • No license hits are allowed.
  • Flu vaccination status must be noted; declinations can be applied for.
  • Must be able to perform triage and couplet care, with the ability to circulate OR cases and assist in baby admissions.
