Alliance Construction is hiring an experienced Mechanic to support our earthwork and demolition operations. This role is intended for a mechanic who can handle complex repairs, work independently in the field, and take ownership of keeping equipment running with minimal downtime. Assistance with on-road equipment is included as needed.

What the Job Looks Like

  • Field maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of heavy equipment, including excavators, loaders, dozers, skid steers, and support equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and drivetrain issues with minimal oversight
  • Perform inspections, servicing, and breakdown repairs directly on jobsites
  • Assist with repairs on on-road equipment such as side dumps, end dumps, and related equipment as needed
  • Perform welding and fabrication repairs on equipment, attachments, and components as required
  • Service and repair demolition attachments (hammers, shears, grapples, buckets) when required
  • Complete repairs in the field safely and efficiently to minimize downtime
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend long-term corrective solutions
  • Manage work independently from start to finish
  • Position is Monday through Friday; overtime as workload requires
What We're Looking For
  • 3+ years of experience working on heavy equipment
  • Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficient welding and fabrication skills
  • Comfortable being the primary mechanic in the field
  • Own personal mechanic tools
  • Valid driver's license required
  • CDL preferred
  • Must be physically capable of performing the duties of the position
  • Safety-minded, dependable, and detail-oriented
