Orientation and Mobility Specialist, SES
NEW Increased Salaryschedule for the 2025-2026 school year with salaries ranging from $47,496 (BA) to $92,683 (MA+30) depending on qualifications and experience.
Benefits: We offer five different health plans along with dental, vision, life, and disability insurance after one full day of employment. Employees are offered flexible savings (FSA) or healthcare savings (HSA) accounts based on elected medical plan. Retirement savings plans through the Michigan Office of Retirement Services (ORS).
The Orientation and Mobility Specialist provides instructional services to students with a visual impairment or other students with a disability and visual problems. Provides pre-referral and consultation services to students, parents, and staff. Provides travel techniques to students so they may move independently, safely, and purposely through their environment. Conducts evaluations and provides written reports for Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team (MET) meetings, Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP), Individualized Education Program Team (IEPT), and related agencies.
Available:
One (1) full-time position; 7.0 hrs per day, 186 days per year (Academic calendar).
