Job Description
Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Profession: Radiology / Cardiology

Hours per Shift: 10 hours

Experience:
One year of Nuclear Medicine experience preferred.

License:
Pending Nuclear Medicine license allowed.

Certifications:
Registered in Nuclear Medicine with either the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within six months of hire.
Basic Life Support certification from the AHA within 90 days of hire.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required within six months of hire.

Must-Have:
Must pass a Basic Cardiac Monitoring class (offered locally) within four months of hire.
Must be capable of operating state-of-the-art Nuclear Medicine gamma cameras, probes, and computer systems.
Experienced in handling radioactive materials safely.

Description:
Performs Nuclear Medicine Procedures in compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
This position involves a rotating weekday schedule.
On-call duties are required after department hours.
On-call shifts are not expected to be very busy.
Candidates must be flexible with rotating call days, estimated to be around seven times a month.
Bachelors or Associates degree preferred.
Knowledge or experience with various nuclear medicine procedures and technologies is essential.
Must demonstrate proficiency in operating specific equipment and dealing with patient care scenarios.
This role involves interaction with adult and geriatric populations.
Further training and certification may be required based on the specific needs of the role.
