Join the OCI Resource Analytics Team as a Principal Software Engineer - Oracle Data Warehouse & PL/SQL Expert. We're building a cutting-edge platform that offers a comprehensive, near real-time inventory of virtual and software assets, their relationships, configuration metadata, and cloud consumption. We are growing fast, still at an early stage, and working on ambitious new initiatives. This solution also extends to configuration and cost management modules, with SQL endpoints enabling direct access to rich resource data. Integrated analytics further empower customers with insights into inventory, compliance, and cost trends. As a Principal Software Engineer, you will take ownership of designing, developing, and troubleshooting core services and tools that power our data warehouse infrastructure. We're seeking engineers with a strong track record of delivering scalable applications using Oracle Database and PL/SQL-especially those who are passionate programmers at heart.

Responsibilities

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

As a Principal Member of Technical Staff, you will build entire services and act as a leader on your team. You will be writing exceptional code and tests, mentor engineers and establish high quality standards, drive design and architecture of your service, and play a key role in planning, execution and operational readiness. As a principal engineering leader, you are expected to elevate the broader organization through exemplary engineering practices, process improvements, and cross-team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead end-to-end delivery of services / product features.

· Partner with architects, product managers, and program managers to ensure timely, high-quality releases.

· Provide technical direction and mentorship to team members.

· Collaborate across teams to deliver integrated solutions

· Anticipate and mitigate delivery risks and execution bottlenecks.

Basic Qualifications

· Strong fundamentals in software design, coding, data structures, algorithms, and performance analysis.

· Proven experience with a major Programming language such as Python, Java, C# or C+· Proven proficient experience with Programming language PLSQL.

· 8+ years of experience in designing and building complex software systems.

· In-depth understanding of Data Warehousing, ETL processes, Cloud Computing and Data Security concepts.

· Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS, Azure, or GCP.

· Experience with enterprise RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server) and cloud data platforms (e.g., ADW, Snowflake, Redshift).

· Proven track record of working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver features.

· Demonstrated technical leadership and mentoring capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

· BS degree in Computer Science or related field

· Experience designing scalable, distributed cloud services.

· Familiarity of multi-AD/AZ and regional data centers

· Experience in CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and production deployments.

· Knowledge of secure software development practices.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
