Electrical Design Engineer
  • 6-month to 2-year contract opportunity
  • Location: Onsite in Huntsville, AL
  • Pay Rate: $50-$70/hr
Are you an innovative Electrical Design Engineer looking to work on cutting-edge projects? Join a dynamic team focused on designing complex industrial systems that make a real impact. This role offers a unique challenge: designing a 60+ft tall mechanism integral to the heart of a nuclear reactor.

What you'll bring to the table:
  • Experience working with SMAP 3D Electrical or AutoCAD Electrical - many designers with AutoCAD background quickly get up to speed here.
  • Expertise in industrial control systems design or industrial automation design.
  • Ability to develop detailed schematics such as wiring diagrams and functional control logic diagrams (FCLDs) for electrical power and industrial control systems.
  • Strong plus if you have experience designing Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems.
  • Knowledge of control panel design in both 2D and 3D, with working knowledge of UL-508A a definite plus.
  • Familiarity with International Electronics Commission (IEC) standards 61082 and 60617.
  • Working knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
