Bilingual Retail Cashier

Join our team as a Bilingual Retail Cashier, where you will create a welcoming atmosphere for every customer who visits. You will play a vital role in our store by being proficient in the cashiering system and handling all related paperwork with excellence. Your responsibilities will include maintaining a clean and organized store environment and answering phone inquiries with enthusiasm and professionalism. In addition, you will assist management with various tasks, from stocking merchandise to visual displays and special orders.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Embrace and promote the "Cavender's Culture" aligned with our Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Handle cashiering tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain a tidy and well-organized work area.
  • Understand and adhere to CBC policies and procedures.
  • Be well-versed in all CBC cashiering transactions including:
    • Cash Sales
    • Check Sales
    • Non-taxable Sales
    • Credit Card Transactions
    • Voids
    • Exchanges
  • Accurately enter all sales and monetary transactions at the time of sale.
  • Assist in stocking merchandise and organizing the store as needed.
  • Encourage add-on purchases and promote store specials to enhance customer experience.
  • Report to work punctually, well-groomed, and dressed appropriately.
  • Remain security-minded at all times.
  • Provide knowledgeable responses to customer inquiries over the phone.
  • Stay informed on current sales promotions.
  • Practice effective inventory control on boots.
  • Check for boot mis-mates.
  • Follow company policies on commission sales and validate all sales tickets.
  • Undertake all other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to understand the actions needed to achieve company goals.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Physical ability to regularly lift and lower objects during shifts.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
  • Ability to follow basic instructions and interpret documents.
  • Strong communication skills to understand and respond effectively.
  • Ability to analyze information and prepare reports.
  • Maintaining alertness throughout assigned work hours is essential.
