Project Controls Cost Engineer

Our client is seeking a Project Controls Cost Engineer to be responsible for managing and analyzing project costs to ensure completion within budget. As a Project Controls Cost Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining project budgets aligned with objectives and constraints.. The ideal candidate will have ability to work independently & as part of cross-functional teams, able to work under minimal supervision and exhibit a high attention to detail which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Project Controls Cost Engineer
Location: North Charleston, SC
Pay Rate: Pay is up to $55/hour w2 (Will be dependent on experience level)
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular cost forecasting and identify potential overruns.
- Monitor and control project costs; analyze variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Generate cost reports including:
- Earned value analysis
- Cost performance index
- Budget variance reports
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Accounting, or related field (preferred).
- 3-5 years in project cost engineering or cost control.
- Industry experience in heavy industrial, utility, construction, or engineering.
