Job Description:

  • Deliver an outstanding customer experience that leaves a lasting impression.

  • Efficiently register sales and provide friendly and courteous checkout service to customers.

  • Support the pharmacist in line with state and federal regulations, utilizing pharmacy systems to manage patient and drug information effectively.

Customer Experience:

  • Welcome customers and patients with a greeting, offering assistance and resolving issues to create a positive shopping experience.

  • Demonstrate and promote exemplary customer service practices to ensure a delightful experience for every customer.

Operations:

  • Deliver fast, friendly, and efficient service to ensure high customer satisfaction.

  • Recommend products effectively and enhance customer purchases through upselling and cross-selling.

  • Process customer transactions, manage cash accurately, and assist customers in finding products.

  • Maintain store cleanliness, assist in merchandising, and help with inventory management tasks.

  • Assist pharmacists in prescription filling and workflow management while ensuring compliance with safety standards.

  • Promptly report any prescription errors and adhere to policies for pharmacy operations and quality improvement.

  • Manage phone inquiries that do not require a pharmacist’s attention while ensuring sensitive information is handled correctly.

  • Support pharmacy inventory activities including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals effectively.

  • Ensure compliance with laws related to regulated products and maintain an orderly store environment.

  • Create attractive product displays and assist in stock rotation and placement according to guidelines.

  • Maintain a good understanding of store systems and provide service in the photo area.

  • Contribute to maintaining the store’s cleanliness and organization, both inside and out.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and respond to special assignments as needed.

Training & Personal Development:

  • Obtain and maintain PTCB certification and other necessary training to ensure compliance and skills development.

  • Engage in ongoing training and education to stay updated on pharmacy practices and healthcare developments.

External Basic Qualifications:

  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required.

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a retail environment is preferred.

  • Experience with Walgreens is a plus.

  • Ability to perform precise math calculations for accurate prescription filling.

  • Good computer skills and knowledge of inventory control are preferred.

  • PTCB certification is a plus.
