Position Overview:

The Project Controls Analyst supports a large-scale, multi-year business and IT transformation program focused on migrating from SAP ECC to a greenfield SAP S/4HANA environment. This role operates within the Program Management Office (PMO) and works collaboratively across business and IT teams to forecast, manage, and mitigate risks related to cost, schedule, scope, and resources.

The program is entering its third year and transitioning into detailed design for the first of four major deployments, with completion targeted for 2031.

Top Required Capabilities:
  • Project scheduling expertise using MS Project or Primavera P6
  • Strong data analysis skills to independently analyze, plan, and report on project data
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, managing multiple concurrent priorities
Key Responsibilities:
  • Create, monitor, and analyze project schedules in alignment with industry best practices and client standards.
  • Track, analyze, and report schedule and resource data to support workstream leadership and identify variances.
  • Ensure accuracy of schedules, metrics, and resource-loaded plans.
  • Coordinate schedules, task updates, meeting inputs, and timely distribution of reports.
  • Develop and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) to preserve scope control and schedule integrity.
  • Monitor project progress, identify critical path activities, and assess forecast vs. actual performance.
  • Maintain and manage the project risk register, ensuring mitigation strategies are documented and tracked.
  • Track baselines, perform what-if analyses, and develop contingency plans.
  • Support development of Business Capability Traceability models and conceptual process documentation.
  • Coordinate across cross-functional teams to track action items and support issue resolution with project managers.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Proficiency with MS Project or Primavera P6
  • Strong data analysis, planning, and reporting capabilities
  • Document management with attention to confidentiality and information retention policies
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail when reporting and extracting data from systems such as Fieldglass, Excel, and training systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including data visualization and presentation
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and provide leadership when required
Desired Skills:
  • Experience supporting large enterprise or IT transformation programs
  • Financial acumen and understanding of labor forecasting for internal and external resources
  • ERP implementation experience and familiarity with Waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SharePoint
  • Experience with Power BI, Power Apps, Jira, or Azure DevOps (ADO)
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Construction, Computer Science, Business Administration, or MIS
  • Working knowledge of financial and accounting concepts
Work Experience:
  • 7+ years of experience in project scheduling, project controls, or project management roles
Equipment & Work Environment:
  • Client-provided laptop
  • Fully configured workstation provided for in-office days
  • Remote work setup is worker's or supplier's responsibility (excluding laptop)
  • Interim virtual desktop access may be used if laptop delivery is delayed
