nsible for providing a variety of technical procedures and apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis for our GoHealth Urgent Care patients. This role is responsible for performing and analyzing patient x-rays and reporting results to Medical Providers. Additional responsibilities include providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of GoHealth Urgent Care Centers. In a collaborative manner, the Radiologic Technologist will provide support to Medical Providers, Medical Assistants and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication.

Job Requirements

Education
  • Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
Work Experience
  • Experience in a clinical setting preferred
Required Licenses/Certifications
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required at the time of hire (obtained through the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA).
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration required.
  • Applicable state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist required.
Essential Functions
  • Responsible for x-ray services as needed
  • Under the direction of the clinical provider, perform x-ray services for patients by applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly.
  • Ensure patients are positioned correctly on or in front of equipment and protected during use.
  • Will need to push patient in a wheelchair
Patient Preparation and Rooming
  • Inform technical staff of patient flow.
  • Prepare patients for examination, which includes conducting interviews to verify patient information, record medical history; confirm purpose of visit;
  • Perform preliminary physical test (blood pressure, weight, temperature, etc.) for vital signs and escalate critical cases to provider as needed.
  • Conduct point of care testing as needed (i.e., flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, HCG); and provide patient information to provider.
Administrative
  • Responsible for maintenance of medical records and scanning charts to patient files.
  • Conduct courtesy call-backs for patient follow-up on care
  • Follow operating instructions to perform and document daily controls and calibration of equipment; maintain Quality Assurance/Quality Control logs for equipment troubleshoot breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, and submit repair tickets as needed
Other responsibilities include:
  • Medical Team Support: Collaborate with the ordering/treating Provider to determine which procedures or views will best assist in accurate diagnoses and treatment. Support clinic operations to keep the center running smoothly.
  • Patient Care: Explaining procedures to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety, and answering their questions.
  • Patient Positioning: Accurately positioning patients and equipment for optimal imaging results.
  • Image Production: Selecting proper ionizing factors by adjusting/setting radiographic controls to capture clear, high-quality diagnostic images
  • Equipment Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance, cleaning of X-ray equipment, and managing necessary supplies.
  • Radiation Safety: Adhering to strict radiation safety protocols and implementing ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable) to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
  • Documentation: Maintaining accurate patient records and logging completed procedures in electronic systems and/or logbooks as required.
  • Image Management: Verifying image quality and ensuring images are sent to radiologists for interpretation.
Knowledge:

1. Knowledge of X-ray procedures and protocols.

2. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology necessary to perform X-ray testing including body mechanics

and patient movement.

3. Knowledge of radiology equipment including safety hazards common to radiology.

Skills:

1. Positioning patients properly for the X-ray procedure required.

2. Identifying equipment problems and correcting or notifying supervisor.

3. Following infection control and radiological safety procedures.

Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Representative to join our remote team. This role supports patient communication, documentation, and provider coordination.

Essential Functions
  • Receive high volume of incoming patient calls
  • Make outgoing calls to relay results to patients as requested by providers
  • Document all interactions using Epic SmartPhrases/Templates
  • Check voicemails hourly and end of day
  • Address provider tasks promptly and route notes to providers
  • Prioritize multitasking and documentation accuracy
  • Utilize and Respond to Microsoft Teams messages in real-time
  • Will utilize company computer requiring VPN and stable internet
  • Ensure device encryption and patient data protection
  • Objective, accurate, and complete charting
  • Escalate undocumented results to providers
  • All patient interactions must be documented
  • Maintain professionalism during patient interactions
Job Requirements

Education
  • High School Diploma required
  • Graduate of a Medical Assisting Program preferred
Work Experience
  • Medical Assistant experience preferred
  • Front Desk experience preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with EPIC EMR required
  • Experience with insurance
Required Licenses/Certifications
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required at the time of hire, obtained through the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA).
  • One of the following certifications is required at the time of hire:
  • CCMA- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (verified through NHA, National Healthcareer Association)
  • CMA- Certified Medical Assistant (verified through AAMA, American Association of Medical Assistant)
  • RMA- Registered Medical Assistant (verified through AMT, American Medical Technologists)
  • NCMA- National Certified Medical Assistant (verified through NCCT, National Center for Competency Testing)
  • NRCMA- Nationally Registered Medical Assistant (verified through the National Association for Health Professionals)
Additionally, CPOE certification for order entry is required within two weeks of start date.

In lieu of an approved MA Certification, we will also accept the following certifications at the time of hire:
  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing or LPN or RN
