Job Function:

Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician must provide support to production while following all safety procedures and policies.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Read blueprints, machine drawings, electrical, pneumatics and hydraulics schematics.
  • Troubleshoots programmable controllers.
  • Troubleshoots equipment with CNC pneumatics and hydraulic controls.
  • Installs wiring, pneumatic, and hydraulic controls.
  • Adjusts and calibrates machines.
  • Removes, replaces and/or repairs machinery.
  • Takes work orders out of CMMS and completes in a timely manner.
  • Completes parts requisitions in CMMS with correct part numbers and vendors.
  • Ensures all safety, including PPE, and lockout / tagout procedures are followed.
  • Initiates and participates in process improvements and is part of the implementation group.
  • Initiates self-directed activities.
  • Perform 5S requirements as assigned.
  • Complies with preventative maintenance schedule on equipment and adheres to the published standards.
Job Qualifications:
  • Proven problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Self-directed and initiative skills.
  • Interpret schematics i.e. electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical.
  • Technical support skills.
  • Must be able to work well in teams with other department employees.
  • Follow all safety and environment regulations.
  • Familiar with 5S requirements and standards
Experience Requirement:
  • 5 years industrial maintenance experience preferred.
  • Electrical license or 5 years industrial electrical experience preferred.
  • 5 years of controls experience preferred.
Education Requirement:
  • High School Diploma
  • Technical School Training considered in lieu of experience.
Working Conditions:
  • Manufacturing environment - limited environmental controls
  • Varying noise levels.
  • Fast-paced work.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand; walk; bend, twist for long periods of time. Use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move material or finished goods and supplies, up to 50 pounds.

While in the manufacturing facility and/or operating equipment, employees will be required to use proper personal equipment such as hearing protection, safety glasses, and gloves, if applicable.
