This is a direct-hire opportunity offering a competitive salary between $105,000 - $125,000 per year, depending on experience. Location: Coon Rapids, MN

Wage: $105,000 - $125,000 per year - Depending on experience

Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (some flexibility required)

Duties of the electrical engineer:
  • Design and develop electrical control systems for LV and MV switchgear
  • Create and modify electrical schematics, diagrams, and layouts using AutoCAD Electrical
  • Ensure compliance with UL, IEEE, NFPA, and CSA standards
  • Collaborate with teams to optimize designs and resolve technical issues
  • Provide troubleshooting and technical guidance to manufacturing teams
  • Develop engineering standards and best practices
  • Conduct testing, validation, and troubleshooting of electrical systems
  • Assist with product certification and compliance documentation
  • Ensure project deadlines and budgets are met
  • Provide training and technical support to internal teams and customers
Requirements of the electrical engineer:
  • 5+ years of electrical engineering experience, ideally in switchgear or power systems
  • Proficient with AutoCAD Electrical and Microsoft Office
  • In-depth knowledge of UL, CSA, IEEE, and NFPA standards
  • Experience with engineering and compliance standards implementation
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and programming PLCs and HMIs
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
