Software Engineer

Are you a talented Software Engineer looking to make a significant impact? Join us in designing and developing scalable software frameworks and libraries that enhance efficiency across teams while adhering to Safety Standards ISO26262. You will oversee the entire implementation process of intricate solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and technical standards.

This is a remote position that allows you to work from anywhere in the U.S.

What You'll Be Doing:

1. Craft custom tools and scripts to automate repetitive tasks, boosting engineering productivity with advanced scripting techniques in Python or Bash.
2. Implement software components that conform to safety goals, ASIL requirements, and system constraints.
3. Develop and enhance processes in line with ISO26262 standards.
4. Architect, design, and create robust front-end and back-end systems using contemporary frameworks like React and Flask.
5. Optimize database schema and implement high-performance queries for extensive data sets.
6. Mentor junior engineers on technical challenges, coding standards, and best practices.
7. Collaborate with product owners, managers, and stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into actionable tasks aimed at achieving certification.
8. Lead the Agile process, managing task prioritization for timely deliveries.
9. Craft comprehensive technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, API specifications, and design definitions.
10. Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure adherence to coding guidelines such as MISRA.
11. Perform static code analysis with Coverity Scan to identify and resolve issues.

Your Qualifications:

• Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related role, OR a Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in the same fields with five (5) years of experience.
• Three (3) years of experience with pipeline cloud platforms; Infrastructure as code tools for automating infrastructure deployments; packaging and deploying applications using Podman and OpenShift; programming in Python, Golang, and Bash; developing front-end and back-end applications with React and Flask; and implementing secure coding practices with tools for code quality checks and runtime security.
• Two (2) years of experience with object-oriented programming principles and design patterns; understanding ISO26262 at least Part-6 Software Development and Safety lifecycle process; tagging, inheriting, and building packages; as well as Configuration Management and Change Management for Functional Safety.

The salary range for this position is $157,248 - $191,840, determined by your qualifications.
