Job Overview - Dialysis Travel LPN

  • Evaluate patient responses to dialysis therapy.
  • Make necessary adjustments and modifications to treatment plans as directed by supervisors or physicians.
  • Conduct assessments of patients before, during, and after dialysis and document findings accurately.
  • Administer medications as prescribed for assigned patients.
  • Identify and address educational needs of patients and their families regarding end-stage renal disease, dialysis processes, dietary considerations, and medication management.
  • Must be flexible to travel to various assignment locations.
  • Must be available to work the required schedule of the facility.
  • Willingness to complete onboarding requirements in a timely manner.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new environments while striving for the highest quality of patient care.
  • This position may also be referred to as a renal care licensed practical nurse or dialysis licensed vocational nurse.

Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of recent experience as a dialysis nurse
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • Current state-specific nursing license in good standing, or a compact state RN license
  • BLS certification required for both chronic and acute settings
  • ACLS certification required for acute settings only
