Preferred Skills, and Abilities:

  • 2 - 8 years' experience - SQL Database Analyst.
Job Description:
  • Demonstrated effective writing and documentation skills.
  • Skill in SQL Server database administration
  • Skill in working in Windows operating systems
  • Skill as a SQL developer and SQL Server Management Studio tools
  • Skill in creating stored procedures, views, and functions
  • Skill in supporting SQL Server data replication, high availability, and validation
  • Skill with SQL Server software installation, patching, and upgrading.
  • Ability to work independently and to resolve complex issues
  • Ability to effectively diagnose, isolate, and resolve complex problems pertaining to server and data infrastructure
  • Ability to write T- SQL, Stored Procedures, Functions, and Database Triggers
  • Ability to Tune SQL and T-SQL queries for performance, index maintenance and implementation, and proactively identify performance bottlenecks while providing sound solutions
  • Operational support skills, including experience with system installations, troubleshooting, migrations and upgrades
  • Knowledge of Windows and PowerShell scripting
  • Skill in logical and physical database design and data models
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle process
  • Practical experience in monitoring and tuning databases to provide a high availability service
  • Ability to maintain currency on tools, methodologies, and technologies related to data administration
  • Knowledge of data privacy and protection initiatives
  • Strong database security administration skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to resolve problems in a professional manner
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical data processing information verbally and in writing
  • Knowledge of SQL Server backup/recovery technologies and processes
  • Knowledge of SQL Server Replication practices and processes
  • Knowledge of SQL Server Clusters and Failover (AG clusters and regular Failover clusters) methodologies
  • System/Application/Database development, design and/or administration
  • Developing in T-SQL or PL/SQL languages
  • Assisting application/web development teams and business area customers in the design, deployment, and development of solutions.
